The Romanian Flag waves Proudly alongside the American Flag in Bowling Green Plaza, New York. The Romanian community celebrated the strong bond between Romania and the United States in a special and historical flag-raising ceremony at Bowling Green Plaza. This symbolic event honored our shared values and enduring friendship. Mr. Gheorghe Leucă, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Republic of Moldova to the UN, Commissioner Edward Mermelstein, NYC’s Commissioner for International Affairs, with his deputy and representatives from NYC City Hall, Clergy from Romanian churches in the area.
