Romania wins two gold, three silver, two bronze medals at 2024 World Fitness Championships
The Vice President of the National Sports Agency (ANS), Gabriel Toncean, announced on Friday that Romania won two gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the Tokyo 2024 World Fitness Championships.
„We proudly concluded the Tokyo 2024 World Fitness Championship, where the athletes of the Romanian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (FRCF) demonstrated, once again, that Romania is an undisputed force on the international stage (…). Total medals obtained by Romania: Gold – 2, Silver – 3, Bronze – 2. These extraordinary results are the result of the work, passion and dedication of each athlete and coach, and the FRCF demonstrated once again is an undeniable force within the International Federation! Congratulations to all the athletes for their outstanding performances and thanks to the team and supporters who make these moments possible”, Gabriel Toncean said on Facebook.
Gold medals were won by Izabela Demeny, in Junior Women’s Bikini 16-20 years, 160 cm, and Ioana Birsan, in Women’s Bikini Fitness, 169 cm.
Silver medals were won by Ionut Coman, at Men’s FitnessOpe, Narcisa Martin, at Women’s Bikini 164 cm, and Sarah Ciovirniche, at Junior Women’s Wellness 21-23 years.
The bronze medals went to athletes Alisa Cirstea, in Junior Women’s Bikini 21-23 years, 166 cm, and Andreea Sfiriac, in Women’s Bikini Fitness +172 cm.
Also, Madalina Stanca ranked 4th in Junior Women’s Bikini 21-23 years, 166 cm, and 5th in Women’s Bikini 158 cm, Crina Orleanu took 4th place in Women’s Bikini 166 cm, Mihaela Dehelean ranked 5th at Master Women’s Bikini +50 years, Alisa Cirstea took 5th place at Women’s Bikini 166 cm, and Sarah Ciovirnache also took 6th place at Women’s Wellness 168 cm.
