BEC partial results for the Senate after centralization of 59.17pct of polling stations
The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) published on Monday the partial results of the parliamentary election for the Senate, after centralizing, by 9.00 am (Romania’s time), the data from 11,787 polling stations, representing 59.17% of the total of 19,919 established in the country and abroad.
According to the BEC, the situation of the votes obtained in the Senate is as follows:
Social Democratic Party (PSD) – 1,117,986 votes (22.12%);
Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) – 907,075 votes (17.95%);
National Liberal Party (PNL) – 740,159 votes (14.64%);
Save Romania Union (USR) – 557,180 votes (11.02%);
Democratic Union of Hungarians of Romania (UDMR) – 478,280 votes (9.46%);
S.O.S. Romania Party – 365,071 votes (7.22%);
Young People’s Party (POT) -295,170 votes (5.84%).
